Compiled from the dialogue archive 4D Human Existence & Node Alignment (from the 4D worldline query through projection mechanics, safety diagnostics and aligned-node recalibration). Primary frameworks: active inference, the holographic principle, relational dynamics, system realisation.
Revision 1. Set in IBM Plex Serif, Plex Sans and Plex Mono. This web edition follows the printed A5 field manual page for page in content; the printed index is replaced here by the A–Z index and site search.
This manual describes a model, not a doctrine. Every section states a mechanism, the operational consequence of that mechanism, and, where one exists, a procedure. Where the source archive uses a first-person example, this edition generalises it so that the procedure applies to any reader.
How to use this manual
Read Part I once, in order. It establishes the three layers (substrate, aperture, body) and the two quantities (Markov blanket, ΔF) that every later section relies on. Nothing after it is comprehensible without it.
Part III is the operating core. If you keep only one part open, keep this one. The procedures for narrowing, widening and auditing the aperture live here.
Part VII is for use during a fault. The fault table maps a symptom you can notice to the mechanism producing it and the correction that applies. It is written to be read while the fault is active.
Exercises are short and repeatable; none require equipment or a special setting. Scenarios are worked examples showing the mechanics step by step in an ordinary situation.
Conventions
Questions and answers. The Framework was worked out as a dialogue, and this manual keeps that shape. Every section opens with the question it answers, set apart and marked Q; the summary answer follows, marked A; the body then supplies the mechanism. Read the question before the answer, every time. The question is where the reader's own position is stated, and the answer is only useful when it lands on that position. The Origin page explains why the questions are kept.
Terms set in sans-serif bold are defined in the glossary (Appendix A). ΔF denotes variational free energy, used throughout as the working measure of internal friction. Boxed definitions carry a rust rule; procedures carry a black rule; traps are marked as such because each describes a failure mode that feels, from inside, like progress.
